Eighteen Scholarships Available!
New York City Community Garden Coalition would like to share a very special opportunity with 18 lucky community gardening enthusiasts! This July, the amazing Center for Whole Communities at Knoll Farm, in collaboration with NYCCGC, will be hosting andfacilitating a six-day conference aimed at developing and inspiring the next generation of the gardening community’s leadership – from those working in their own neighborhoods, to those ready to step up to city-wide challenges.
The retreat (including transportation) is free of charge and will feature fresh air, fantastic food, music, and a chance to re-connect with nature – and restore and invigorate your body and mind.
Testimonial: “The retreat was an incredibly valuable experience for me. It was a time to reflect, not only on the work that I do, but also on my own personal need to be an active “agent of change” in the world that I live in. I came away from the retreat with a renewed sense of purpose and assurance that I’ve taken a path in life that will contribute greatly to my community. The beautiful Mad River Valley and the most excellent chefs at Knoll Farm - not to mention a wonderfully supportive and creative staff - made the experience heavenly.”
