NYCCGC returns to Coney Island!
Join us for a general meeting with community gardeners from across the city Thursday, August 15, 6:30pm, at Boardwalk Garden, located at 3001-3031 W. 22nd St. in Coney Island between Surf. Ave and the boardwalk. Subways n,d,q,f to the last stop: Stillwell Ave. Walk to the Boardwalk and then west to W. 22nd (towards and past the parachute jump- next to the historic child's building).
We'll get an update on the garden's status post-Sandy, as the neighborhood undergoes redevelopment. We will also discuss additional gardens in distress, our upcoming board elections, and mobilizing for the NYC elections in November.
This meeting continues NYCCGC’s summertime tradition of taking our message of community garden unity to locations throughout the city – it’s a great opportunity for all to connect with fellow gardeners and for us to hear firsthand what is affecting our gardens.
