Become a member and support NYCCGC, New York City’s independent voice for our community gardens!
Our mission is to promote the preservation, creation, and empowerment of community gardens through education, advocacy, and grassroots organizing.
Community gardens in New York City provide many benefits to their neighborhoods. Fresh vegetables, eggs, and herbs. Beautiful open green space. A place for the community to come together in friendship.
Community gardeners need a political voice. We need to be present when the City makes land use decisions that can affect the fate of our gardens. We need to be involved in funding decisions. We need to organize our communities to link our cause with others.
Join us. We need your passion, strength and skills. When you join the Coalition, you join with other community gardens to stand up for your garden as we stand up for all gardens.
