New Date for Rally to Celebrate Community Gardens at City Hall: 9/19

GreenThumb has extended the deadline to sign the new garden license agreement. The new deadline is Friday, September 20.

NYCCGC continues to urge gardens to not sign the license. More than half the community gardens in New York City have not signed the new agreement. We have requested more meetings with the Parks Department to continue to negotiate a better license agreement.

Major issues have yet to be resolved. Confusion and uncertainty continue. Specific issues we have identified in the new license can be found HERE.

WE WILL be Rallying on the steps of City Hall on Thursday, September 19, at 10am to Celebrate Community Gardens.

All gardeners, friends of gardens and residents of Mother Earth are urged to join us. Let's rally together and show our strength and unity! Our goal is to promote the robust preservation of New York City's community gardens, strengthen and grow the community we've created for years to come.

WE LOVE OUR COMMUNITY GARDENS AND WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW IT!
